We were on our way to Da Tandoor Restaurant (a block away) and stopped in to have a predinner drink at Cafe Brio. My husband ordered a white wine and I ordered a gin and tonic. The bartender asked what type of gin I wanted. He did not ask my husband about the white wine. We had two drinks. The... more

I decided to take a friend for dinner for her birthday, neither of us had been to Cafe Brio before, but we understood that the food was supposed to be great. We went on a Tuesday night, without reservations. The owner asked if we had phoned, we said no, he said well I guess we can fit you in. There... more

A small, casual place on Antiques Row. Super friendly and competent staff, great service. We had delicious squash risotto, lamb shoulder, corn soup. Most items offered in two sizes--appetizer and dinner. Very nice wine list with a number of good Okanagan Valley wines, a few by the glass and half-liter carafe. Great value. more

We started with house made pate, Italian Pork and Chicken Liver Parfait, and they were excellent. For an appetizer my mate had Roast Wild Mushroom & Corn Ragout and I had Romaine Hearts, the famous house version of Caesar salad. This was one of the best salads I have ever had. My main was a special, Lamb Two Ways, and... more

Based previous reviews, we phoned long distance about two weeks before our trip to get a reservation for a very significant wedding anniversary. We arrived on time to a virtually empty restaurant. Nevertheless, we were seated in the back right next to the kitchen doors where we could here everything that the chef was saying. It appears that all the... more

Very good food, especially for those who are concerned about local ingredients. While I tend to be very adventurous, I found some of the flavor combinations a little off for my taste. Overall, the food was of great quality, the service was very attentive, and the local wine list was excellent! more

I've been twice for dessert which I highly recommend because you can have a great time without spending much money and dinner often leaves you too full to appreciate their desserts. Plus, If you go shortly after they open and tell them you only want dessert they will happily seat you right away at a table with a later reservation.... more

My husband and I had dinner last Saturday night at Cafe Brio. It was the first time we had picked a restaurant strickly on the reviews from TripAdvisor. We were very pleasantly pleased! We loved the slightly casual atmosphere, it was romantic and colorful. The service was the best and the food was the best dinner we have had in... more

When I read the review by the couple who celebrated their wedding anniversary here, I had to add my own comment. My spouse and I reserved a table at Brio for our anniversary, but had a disappointing experience on this visit (our second). The food was good and arrived in a timely fashion, but the experience was off-putting overall. We... more

From the moment we sat down we knew we were in for a treat! Such wonderful service and attention to detail. Some of the best food, wine and cocktails we have ever experienced. Waitress, Lisa was quick to recommend drinks and a wonderful local wine to go with our meal. The appetizers, entrees and dessert were amazing! Delicacies at every... more
