I had heard that Wraps has the best fish and chips in the area. A visit in October confirmed this. It was a large portion and very tasty. Service was pleasant and prompt.
Went to visit one of my favourite restaurants last week and was disappointed that they had a new expanded menu (from 3 pages to 10+ pages) that was really hard too read due to the "font" of the menu items and no headings that stood out). Good thing I always get the seafood platter which was fantastic. They also changed... More
We were on a tour and instead of going to a touristy place, our guide took us to Wharf Wraps in Fisherman's cove. We were taken right in and upstairs to a nice quiet room. The food and service were amazing. Probably the best fish and chips I've ever had. My brother loved his clam chowder and Lobster Roll. What... More
While on a tour, our guide took us to Wharf Wraps for lunch. It is located in the picturesque Fisherman's Cove, a very authentic fishing village. I had the fish and chips, which was so fresh and crispy. Huge portion, but I couldn't leave any behind. Others had the lobster rolls and loved them, too.
Stopped at the Wharf Wraps on a guided tour of Halifax. Had the seafood chowder which was excellent and several others in my party enjoyed the fresh Haddock sandwiches. Service could have been a little more prompt but overall a very good lunch. Probably the highlight of our 1/2 day in Halifax.
I love this spot! I love the ambience. I love the location. I love the staff. I especially love the fish and I love it with Greek Salad. You get a very large portion. So large that you can have it wrapped up to take home for dinner the next day! I especialy love this spot in the winter -... More
From reading other recent reviews it seems we are not the only ones to feel that the restaurant has gone down hill! I posted an excellent review last year but this years review will not be the same. When we arrived this evening, we were ignored until I finally stared at a waitress walking by. She then quietly said, "someone... More
I had a haddock dish with a pineapple salsa. I have to admit the presentation was a little scary. The fish actually came in a loaf bread size Pyrex dish sitting on top of a square plate with a side of rice. It was really delicious! The others in my party also ordered fish entrees that they were pleased with.... More
While the fish is the best, the service is awful. We waited 15 minutes to order drinks and actually get them. The restaurant was averagely busy. We ordered the Admiral's Platter, which is 2 pieces of fish, chips, calamari, scallops, shrimp and mussels. We received our fish and chips and shrimp and scallops first, the other items came about 10... More
Held a wedding shower there for 15 people last Saturday. Were in upstairs room. Table was set beautifully, service was very good and food was excellent. Many of the guests had never been there before and plan to return. A couple orders took extra long, but we were a party of 15 and the restaurant was busy. The only thing... More
