If you miss the days of the old fashion style pub with friendly service, good beer and plentiful food your search is over. Best cheap breakfast in the city since Epicure closed. Their sweet potato fries are legend. more
Visited the Toucan for lunch. I had a chicken quesadilla - very good - lots of filling. Others had the chicken pesto sandwich and bangers and mash. All enjoyed their food and the Smithwicks beer was excellent. Definitely would return again. Has the atmosphere of an authentic old Irish pub! more

Ah, the Toucan. I've been enjoying it since the day after it opened, over 20 years ago. It's not a place that caters to tourists. Or regulars. Which makes it a great place. Maybe the last really good pub in Ontario. It has a solid selection on tap, and for victuals, it's hard to go wrong with the burgers, esp.... more
