We enjoyed our meal there it was close to our hotel just a short walk.Servive was good people where freindly the food was verry good at a decent prise.
I've been to Old Quebec over fifty times over the last fifty years and I've come to expect very little in restaurants in the old part of the city. It seems that the quality of the food is inversely proportionate to the location of the tourist areas; the further away, the better the meals/service. With this in mind, I keep... More
A restaurant in the middle of the "Vieux Québec" where you can eat good food at at very low price. The food is excellent and the service very good. A very good place to share with friends and family.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. We popped into this unassuming restaurant minutes after arriving in Quebec City. We went into the La Cantina side, which is attached to la Petite Italie. They serve Burgers & Poutine on the Cantina side so we figured that was perfect for our first meal in Quebec City. It was our first time & our first... More
We ducked into Le Petit Italie during a storm and enjoyed a meal feeling secure at an open window table looking over a beautiful herb planter box. For a starter we had a delightful smoked salmon salad. It was the right combination of salmon, greens, capers and red onion. The dressing was non existent but because olive oil was brought... More
Located on St-Louis street in Old Quebec, not too far from Chateau Frontenac, La Petite Italie offers a wide variety of Italian specialties from pastas to veal, to seafood.served in a no frill ambiance. I took the "Table d'hôte" that included a smoked salmon appetizer, an osso bucco that was great and plenty, a chocolate cake and regular coffee for... More
ordered seafood au gratin - seafood was my opinion the type of frozen that you get at a discount in a grocery store - completely blah. Accompanying fettucine was very unimaginative and when I asked for grated cheese I was told they didn't have it! Grilled vegetables had no flavour whatsoever, no spices, completely bland. Wait staff okay.
Enjoyed the pasta trio, generous portions, freshly prepared for us. Great service and wonderful table by the window- great for people watching! Loved it! Very good value- one of the best and least expensive dinners we had while we stayed in the city.
This is not fine dining. I initially wanted to get a table at de conti but they were booked out. I was tired and cold so I opted to cross the street and have something quick to eat and return to the hotel. It is very basic food . Nothing you would necessary go back for but edible. The garlic... The pros: the meals came quickly and the waiter was helpful. The cons: the lasagna was very salty and the seafood gratin was badly overpriced for the low quality seafood (teeny scallops, canned teeny shrimp). We were both so hungry that night from so much walking that we ate our entire meals even though the food was not great. For... More
