We've visited Lake Tahoe at winter break, spring break and for the month of July every year for the past 5 years. Scusas is a MUST for our family and friends every visit. We've had parties of 4 and parties of 33. Each and every time the food has been fresh and delicious. Our favorites are the garlic soup, the... more

Great Italian food in busy local restaurant. Huge portions, excellent wine list and friendly professional service. Only thing we didn't like was the noise from fellow diners.! more

Scusa anywhere else is an average Italian restaurant. Apparently, the higher elevation has affected some reviewers into higher undeserved reviews. Atmosphere is ok, nothing to rave about, if dark = romance you’ll love it. The menu is your standard Italian fare mixed with some local specials. All in our party found the food fair. The Alfredo sauce was bland and... more

We decided to go to Scusa after reading the reviews here. We have been traveling up the California coast for a month now so we have had many meals out at some very nice restaurants. This was by far the best. The food was excellent, service wonderful and the atmosphere on the garden patio was great. They allow you to... more

My family and I heard about Scuza from our hotel concierge - when we arrived, we could smell the garlic fill the air, teasing our appetites. For starters, we ordered roasted garlic and cream of garlic soup. The roasted garlic wasn't all that great, but the soup was FANTASTIC! For our entrees, we ordered the chillean sea bass, eggplant parmesan,... more

During our week's vacation in South Lake Tahoe we always eat at Scuza's twice. Everything on the menu (the we've had) has been very very good. This year I tried the Chicken Saltimbocca. Oh What A Treat. The service is friendly and efficient. This year we discovered they have a lovely small outside patio and we loved dining out there.... more

My family and I always hit Scusa when we are in the Lake Tahoe area. Most of the family enjoy the chicken saltimbocca but I love the cappellini! The food is good. Decor is family. Good food after a day on the lake. more

We were referred to this restaurant by our bellhop at Embassy Suites and he didn't let us down. It was my 30th birthday and everything was fabulous from the minute we sat down. Since our bellhop called for us they gave us a free appetizer and gave us top notch service. Menu is not exactly big, but what we got... more

My husband and I ate here one evening after reading about it in the Lonely Planet. We had garlic soup and raosted garlic crostini to start which was basically two whole bulbs of garlic roasted whole and you then squeezed it out and spread it on the toasted bread. It was delicious - as was the garlic soup. The wine... more

I had the chicken saltimbocca, and Nancy had Fettucini Alfredo. Both dishes were quite large and very tasty. I really enjoyed the saltimbocca, lots of flavors and lots of food. The alfredo sauce was rich but not gluey. Try the lobster ravioli for an appetizer, I guarantee it! With a shared caesar salad and a bottle of chianti, we both... more
