Enjoyed this a lot, ate out on the deck and watched the sea planes land
This place is love at first sight, so much so that it didn't matter that it wasn't love at first bite. Great drinks and good draft beers (love Sapporo on tap) incredibly remarkable views and ambience. Stick to the basics like burgers and fries (avoid crazy crab salad with brie and about 35 other ingredients). Watch the float planes come... More
Firstly, the river view is extraordinary, service is always attentive and sincerely friendly, and the decor is warm and inviting. Free parking exists across the street. For those who imbibe with abandonment, the restaurant provides a free shuttle bus ride home (within the vicinity). Secondly, and not so favourably, the taped music was so loud the other night that it... More
The atmosphere of this pub is fantastic. Grab a seat on the patio, if you can, and watch the float planes come and go while you enjoy a frosty beer and some tasty pub grub (they also make a great Bloody Ceasar). Service is good, food is good, and it's just a great time all around.
During our time in Vancouver managed to eat twice here. Very popular place so be prepared to have a wait for a table but is well worth it. Situated in the same building as the seaplane terminal, you can eat and drink whilst watching the seaplanes come and go during the day. Food was highly recommended before to us and... More
Never Disappoints… Must have been my umpteenth time returning to the Flying Beaver. The atmosphere, food and most of all the venue never disappoint. Where else can you get a good burger and salad or fries for less than $10.00? Beer’s good too with a daily bevie special, there’s always a decent choice. It’s not pretentious, it’s a pub set... More
I gave it a crappy review only because we drove down here only to be turned away as we had our teen aged kids with us. I imagine this is some BC bar law but it would have been nice to have the info listed somewhere.
The hamburgers were very tasty and the waiter took his time to explain the menu. When asked what his favorites were, he gave a heartfelt response and his recommendations were outstanding. We would enjoy returning to try other items on the menu. Yummy......
After reading the reviews on here, we decided to try the Flying Beaver. It was off the beaten path, but it was great! It's basically in the sea plane terminal so you see those taking off all thru the meal. The food was mostly sandwiches and salads but everything was excellent. It was nice that they offer to split the... More
