Our hotel desk clerk recommended this as a nice place to eat, off Cranbrook's commercial 'strip' area, and we found that this restaurant exceeded our expectations. Four of us had dinner at Heidi's in June, 2008. The decor has a German influence with wood carving over one of the bars. The menu is rather ambitious with several varieties of schnitzel offered. The night we were there the special was Indian chicken with curry rice. I had a very tender 6 oz. sirloin with five garlic prawns.... more

The food is not bad but the service is always awesome. I just find that the food seems a little dry and the menu is too broad a spectrum for ethnic food. It was much better when they concentrated more on austrian and german dishes. It is a nice place to take a date. more
