Used this venue for a private dinner for Clients and it turned out to be the best venue we used in a nationwide tour of such events. Superb food, impeccable service. Good quality wines. Achieved intimate, private dining. Also had the cache to be a desitnation which our Clients wanted visit. Highly recommended. more

Get there early and have a drink in the excellent bar first. Great food. Expensive but worth it if you are treating yourself or others. Lovely decor and excellent service. more

We have stayed at the Hotel du Vin in Bristol twice in the last six months having a night away from our children! The bar at the hotel is great and lovely to go for a drink even if you are not staying at the hotel. The hotel itself is a fab building and if you live locally like we... more

I had worried it would be a little 'snobby' and full of people far too in love with themselves. However, I was wrong the the atmosphere of both the Restaurant and Bar is 1st class - sophisticated and laid back. A wide variety of ages from teenagers with parents through to people in their mid 60's, plenty of groups and... more

There are a lot of really nice restaurants in Bristol which have much better food and service. The bar does have an extensive wine list and occasionly some live music but i still... more

Been for dinner a few times (because visitors were staying at the hotel). Good bits: The setting is quite nice and the bar is conducive for post-dinner conversations and digestifs. They do have an excellent wine list and a knowledgeable sommelier. They also offer a selection of cigars should you find yourself craving for one after your dinner. Bad bits:... more

Went here for a special occasion, having looked forward to it for a while. Its a nice looking restaurant, and the service is very professional. But we were served so quickly for all our three courses that we were out of there in less than an hour and a half... and really wanted the night to last a bit quicker...... more

They now do a set menu ,main course plus glass of wine for about £12, I didn't try this. Wine list was excellent ,great wines from all major... more

I've stayed at a few boutique hotels, including a different HDV, and I have to say that this one was middle of the road. The location is excellent, the look and feel of the bar and restaurant areas are very good. I's say that the service is lacking somewhat. The staff don't shine and make you feel overly special. They... more
