Well done chef, you are maintaining those food standards, food remains imaginative and good, souffle a bit flat, saved by those crunchy almonds. It really is a great little eating place, still a bit confused trying to fit in a serious eatery, live music and a public bar and still not running to decent knapkins despite the prices. More

The food was very nice but the portions were very small and expensive. Typically the starters were around £7 and the mains around £16. However £7 for a soufle no bigger than 3" diameter and £16 for a Crusted Cod which again was only around 3" square was I believe too expensive! More

This place should have recognition. The food is of an exceptionally high standard with service and atmosphere to match. If you go you must try the Scallop starter. The best dish I have eaten. The chef clearly has a passion for food coupled with the technical ability usually reserved for a Michelin starred restaurant. Really great night with fantastic food.... More

It's clearly not easy with limited covers to maintain a constant supply of quality fresh produce but the chef does an excellent job. Whilst the "Classic Menu" is well past it's sell buy date the board provides an excellent choice. Although there is a small and sometimes over noisy bar, the aspiration is to be thought of a restaurant, which... More

Gorgeous - loved the food, vibe, atmosphere, you can tell everyone involved really genuinely cares, portions generous (I had the braised shin of beef, which was quite rich) so will skip starter next time although also delicious (Scallops). Relaxed, professional yet friendly, will absolutely be back!! My favourite place in the area so far, will be hard to beat, very... More

You need to book if wanting to eat in the evening. The food is very tasty. The last time I went I had lamb, small portion and £19. Taste of the north starter is excellent, have it every time I have ameal here. My husband likes real ale only one choice of ale here.... Would go more often if a... More

My wife and I tend to spend our weekends looking for great places to eat. We've been to the Lord Clyde on a number of occasions and on every trip we've been overwhelmed by the infusion of flavors on the plate, there's a real homely feel to the place. I'm not sure what the atmosphere like on a music night,... More
