I recently dined at Angela's to celebrate my partner's 50th birthday. I really cannot praise this restaurant enough. It is small and cosy, the service is spot on, attentive but not intrusive. The food is just wonderful. Unusual dishes, I had lemon sole and salmon which was imaginatively presented and just delicious. I had a bit of everybody else's too... More

We had booked Angela's for New Year, we had a call from Angela shortly before our visit to make sure we still needed the table which was a reassuring call, we told her that we would be travelling down that evening and were told not to worry if we were late. The restuarant was well set out with a very... More

We had a delicious lunch here. My husband thought the pork was the most tender he'd ever eaten. Angela was lovely and very attentive. We happened to be eating there on the American holiday of Thanksgiving and mentioned this to her and our dessert plates were specially decorated with a "Happy Thanksgiving" written in chocolate which was a very sweet... The ordinary looking exterior belies the warm and welcoming interior that this restaurant has to offer. Attention to detail is obviously something that they pride themselves on, from the crisp white linen table clothes, to the attentive service. Nothing was too much trouble, as they allowed us to sample different wines before selecting the correct one for our meal. The... More

Loved the grouse and summer pudding @Angela's. The staff made us feel very welcome. One of the nicest meals I had on my trip to England. Make sure you make reservations in advance, because it's a popular place, and was fully booked when we attempted to dine there as a walk-in. We made a reservation for the following night, and... Food is good. I felt at home while dining by myself. Great location. Was here in July 2010, and not disappointed in July 2011. Bring your appetite, you will leave with a smile. More

Visited @Angela's again during graduation week 2011. If you love good food and being well looked after you really do have to go there. Great starters, to die for mains and scrumptious desserts are delivered from a kitchen appearing to be totally unflustered and completely in control. Thankyou very much Angela & Richard for looking after us so well for... More
