Personally we would like to thank Rob for his hospitality, fantastic food and wonderful service. Following a 3 day break Steps was the best food in Torquay we had. Will definately be back and has certainly made us want to visit Torquay. The food was so fresh and tasty. You just have to give it a go !!! more

Came here for a pre- theatre lunch after searching Trip Advisor. Food was very good but we thought that the drinks were expensive and it pushed up the price of meal. This is described on its advertising boards as 'A hidden gem' and thats exactly what it is. We made a reservation for Steps Bistro after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. It did get busy during the evening as it's not very big inside, so I'd recommend making a reservation. We turned up without a booking and were pleased to be shown straight to a table. We had the home-made soup and garlic mushrooms for starters and the best pasta carbonara we have ever had as our main course. We were unfortunately too full for dessert - so we had ice-cream!! Went with a group of mates at the weekend. The service was excellent, food was great and extremely good value for money. The service was first class and VERY friendly. There was 19 of us and we have no problems. It's a must place to visit. more
