Very small restaurant that manages to create an intimate yet relaxed atmoshere in a limited space. Both my partner and myself enjoyed evey plate of food we were given, even the small complinentary cup of pea soup that arrived as we ordered. Fine dining at it's best. Flavoursome and interesting food accompanied by excellent service. A bit on the expensive side but worth it. Can not comment on the atmosphere as we were the only people in the restuarant (weekday lunchtime) but background easy music would have helped. more

I went to The Gingerman for my birthday last week and totally loved it. The restaurant is really cosy, the staff friendly, and the food absolutely gorgeous. The Gingerman was recommended as the best place to eat in Brighton. I went there for lunch to celebrate a friend's birthday and we both loved it. Had a fantastic meal here during the May bank holiday at this lovely small restaurant.
