I have eaten here twice, once lunch as a couple and once for dinner in a big party. Both times have left me very disappointed. Light and Airy. Good all round menu. Pizza and pasta. Bar area and outside seating over looking the marina. more
Very friendly and efficient staff. Very varied menu from pizza to lobster with some oriental dishes in between. Good standard of food served efficiently in a busy but very pleasant atmosphere. We'll be back. By the way, due to the success of this restaurant they have now opened another Banana Wharf at Hamble. Will be trying that one very soon. more
The restaurant looks a lot like a big bar, so it is lacking atmosphere a bit. The food menu was similar - extensive and you would not know what cuisine it was. Having eaten at Banana Wharf several times now and on different days and times of day I can honestly say that on each occassion the food and service has been excellent. If you want to watch your wife throwing up a meal that you've just treated her to in a restaurant then you can do no worse than visit Banana Wharf, as that is exactly what happened to us last time we went and no, it's not because she drank too much (1 glass of wine was all).
