visited this restaurant with high hopes as it had been recommended to us, however would never go back as the food was distinctly average , the service was appalling the manager was rude and we were overcharged .however in fairness i should point out that we know others who have visited since who had much better experiences. more

For some reason I expected this place to be more posh, however the decor is very relaxed/casual. The let down is the cheap and brightly coloured table clothes. Food: we both had the fillet steak with frrites and it was VERY GOOD. Drink: Apple beer and a dark beer, both great. Staff: very friendly. more

Excellent food - mussels were fantastic. Great selection of Belgian beers - probably more of an attraction than the food, even though it was great. Staff were very good too. Would definitely recommend to all. more

Café Belge is definitely one of the best restaurants in Canterbury. The cooking is decidedly Belgian with a speciality of mussels which are served in 50 different ways with the obligatory chips and mayonnaise.
