Nice English pub with good homemade food (the potatoes are particularly good), nice staff and a good ambient. The toilets are a bit old.
I was here with a group of five girls last month with a college program. It was busy but we were seated right away. Our waitress was one of the most genuinely nice people we met in London and helped us with directions. Great fish and chips and the best sticky toffee pudding I've ever had. Would definitely come back... More
I am local and had my brother visiting so decided to take him here for a traditional Sunday roast. Upon arrival we were shown to a table wedged in a back corner in between other diners. We asked for another table rather than being stuck in the corner as there were several other tables available. The waitress then seemed to... More

Went out for bank holiday Monday lunch and was really appalled by the rude service. The waitress rolled her eyes when I asked for some ketchup. The barman snapped at me when I ordered the drinks saying he'll bring them over to my table. There was no please or thank you and I was made to feel like I was... More

Local hangout and flows into the street after a cricket match at Lords. Good menu selection and friend staff. Feels like a neighbourhood place.

This became our favorite dinner spot when we were staying in the St John's Wood area. We ate there three times over a period of a week. Prices were good, but the real draw was the quality of the food. It was consistently fresh and well prepared. The staff was always friendly and attentive. We usually sat at our favorite... More
A nice pub quite close to Lords cricket ground and on the way between there and the underground (via a short diversion into St Johns Wood village). We had a couple of pints and lunch. The lunch was good value and the staff very friendly with prompt service. A nice family ambience in this high street pub. My only slight... More
I had sausage of the day - boar and apple with a Guiness. Companion had goat cheese salad and a glass of house white. Both above average. A short walk from St Johns Wood and Abbey Road. Well worth it.

Shame it wasn't Monday, as their specialist burgers looked tasty. Perfectly good standard pub grub at a price that won't break the bank. Good service, good with the kids and decent beer. You could do a good deal worse in this area and get fleeced for the privilege.
We visited this pub/restaurant on New Year Eve 2012/13. We booked via the web and they called to check with us a few days beforehand. Good menu choices for the three of us. We arrived, table ready on time (we were upstairs in a small dining area overlooking the main bar), food delivered quickly and was of good quality. We... More
