I was first introduced to Gaby's over 40 years ago, and always paid a visit every time I went to London. In that time I have recommended it to many people, but I will no longer be doing so, although I may still visit Gaby's, to see if they have returned to the excellent level I remember. On recent visits... More

I first ate at Gaby's in the early 1980s and it was a breath of fresh air in a fairly unimaginative array of West End eateries - Levantine flair coupled with an exciting selection of vegetarian and meat-eaters offerings. Over the years I have returned and enjoyed their salt beef, their falafels, salads and kleftiko. The scare around the threatened... More

Small but very popular restaurant. has been around, with the original owner nearly 50 years. Not pricy. reasonable service. becomes full quickly in lunch time and evening. very near a lot of the theatres. Good selection of food. The falafel balls could be better. Tasty cuscus and okra/bamia easy t get to by underground open late into the night

It's an institution so it must be great ...? When I first went here, 15 years ago, brought by an enthusiastic friend I couldn't see what the fuss was about. But I've kept coming back. That first time was one of the few times when I've sat down and the ancient décor and grumpy service probably added to my being... More

Went there one afternoon, I was really craving a good pastrami sandwich, and after some research found this to be in the top 10. NEVER AGAIN.. the sandwich was made with stale bread and meat which was sitting on the counter for so long it started to sweat…To make matters worse the price is so high you would think you’re... I went there because of all the good reviews and because I was looking for some good deli reminiscent of Shwartz... , but this place is a total rip-off. Way over priced for a simple falafel pita and a salft beef! I had the falafel which looked like a heated version of tesco brand falafels, and my friend had a... More

Top quality, Middle Eastern cuisine in a relaxed, authentic atmosphere. Great before or after a show. Excellent felafel, great service and really good value. Delicious, satisfying food in an unpretentious setting. Like it a lot. .

I actually very pleased that this place will evtually close down, it is a total dive. The food is totally mediocre and overpriced. I don't know who wants to pay £10 for a salt beef sandwich that tastes of medicine and has less filling than a newsagents £2 triangle sandwich. This place gets away with murder because it displays in... More

Ideal spot for a quick and fair priced meal or snack in the heart of the West End, with a good selection
