Having 3 Michelin stars, we were prepared for a gourmets feast. But the food really was quite bland. We both had the duck and it seemeds tro lack any "character" (for lack of a better word). Gordon has his critics - 'spread too thinly', 'over exposed', 'losing focus'. Don't believe it. Whatever the figurehead of the organisation may do, the chefs and staff in his restaurants still know how to be the best when it comes to food and hospitality. interior quite plain and simple. starter for both of us was devine. perhaps this meant we had very high expectations for the main meal that it did not meet. cant say there was anything wrong with the main meal but it did not have the wow factor i expected.on saying this i would definately return to try the other dishes. more

I took my husband to RGR for his birthday. The staff were quite attentive. Our server asked who would be paying for the meal -- I was, so Dan was given the menu with no prices (old fashioned but a nice touch). Had a superb meal at RGR. Chose the " menu prestige".. every course close to perfection. Wines by the glass to match each course recommended by sommelier.
