Ok so you can't see the river, but you won't easily find anywhere as good as this within spitting distance of Waterloo. Really nice food served without pomposity at a reasonable price. Try it. More

Had pre booked our table after seeing Noises Off at the Old Vic (Brilliant by the way) as this is not too far away. They were waiting for us and from the start the meal ran like clockwork. The food was excellent and served piping hot and presented exceptionally well. There was a good selection of beers and wines which... More

Really glad we found this restaurant, which we went to to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant is nice and simply decorated, nothing to fancy, which is great as it's very relaxed and inviting. The staff are really friendly and the menu is interesting. The food was fantastic, especially the chocolate brownie that we shared for dessert. Would love to go... More

The Laughing Gravy was one of the best meals and experiences that we have had for quite some time! The food was simply amazing, as well as a very delicious menu. They customized their menu for one of my guests who is a vegetarian and offered a very welcoming and refreshing experience. The service was friendly and really helpful. The... More

The Laughing Gravy in Southwark, London was an interesting experience. Even if the surroundings outside were not very appealing, was the interior a positive surprise. Friendly wellcome and warm, relaxing atmosphere. It has rather ordinary but interesting and simple interior. You'll find typical pub-food everywhere in London. However, it is difficult to find a restaurant where you can have a... More

Although the Old Vic Theatre may not include the Laughing Gravy among those close by (did not check all that closely), by all means consider this restaurant for pre-theatre dinner or for any dinner. We had a delightful dinner, served by friendly and helpful personnel. A very inviting 'space' and a good feel - music in background was lively and... More

Utterly delicious food, Divine chicken liver pate, succulent lamb, beautifully soft beef and to finish off an incredible chocolate pudding. The waiters were promt... More

The service was really warm and welcoming we went there on 14th February they were really thoughtful and checked if we were going on to the theatre. Each course was really delicious an pd had a novel way of presenting the food. The chef is someone who knows what he's doing with food More
