What a spectacular restaurant!, a wonderful visual feast combined with the history of the place made for a fantastic lunchtime treat in london. We were welcomed to our pre-booked table for lunch and we both enjoyed eggs benedict, hot drinks and dessert. There was a good mix of clientele, fairly smartly dressed for about town in the daytime, however the... more

The room is dramatic, ornate and with its high ceilings and large floor space there is a pleasantly spacious feel. We were seated on a mezzanine area which had us peering over the room which was a terrific perch from which to watch all the comings and goings. Menu was varied and appealing with a great mix of mainstay meals... more

We seem to end up at the Wolseley every time we come into London. My daughter is currently receiving out-patient care at the Brompton Hospital, and loves to go for lunch/tea at the Wolseley after her appointments at the hospital. We have always been able to get a table, albeit, we have waited on occasion for up to about 20... more

We ate dinner here last week. It was busy but we had a reservation and were seated very quickly. The service was excellent from the start, the waiting staff were friendly and efficient. The meal was superb, the setting excellent and the atmosphere was buzzing. We found the food overall to be reasonably priced, certainly for a Central London venue.... more

If you want a lively venue the Wolseley is definitely the right place for you. Service is prompt and food quite good. But the experience leaves a somewhat sour taste on two fronts - the need to fill a lot of spaces means that people watching is similar to watch the crowds on a railway station (where is costs far... more

The Wolsey We visited The Wolsey on a busy Saturday afternoon. The building is currently camoflagued in scaffolding but don't let that put you off. We hadn't booked and decided to chance it. My cousin has some connections in the restaurant world but this did not overly influence the reservations desk. We were advised to do our shopping then call... more

I have now been a couple of times for a lunch and a dinner. Lunch is better by far. The location is good, the restaurant decor is good and the food is good so why am I so reluctant to give it "full marks". At the lunch I went to, the service was what one would expect at these prices,... more

After a notably succesful and stylish few years, the recent greedy decision to introduce a cover charge has removed one its few surviving charms - its relative good value. The food is never better, and always as expensive, as a goodish 5 star hotel; and even the declasse treat of celeb-spotting is nowadays likely to result in an encounter with... more

The real attraction of this place is the other clients. You will often spot celebrities and the room is attractive and atmospheric. The food is not exceptional but it is not awful either and it's a good place to go for breakfast. If the website is showing full it is worth popping in as they can sometimes fit you in... more
