Description: Theo Randall's passion for simple, rustic Italian fare took him from Chez Panisse in California to Head Chef and Partner at The River Café. In 2006, Theo brought this experience to the prestigious address of No 1, Park Lane when he opened Theo Randall at the InterContinental. His unwavering dedication has earned him the respect of his peers, many industry accolades and awards, and a loyal following of diners. The restaurant continues to exemplify Theo's signature style of showcasing the best of Italian cuisine in a buzzing restaurant setting. The daily changing menu is inspired by his regular trips to Italy and dictated by the best seasonal ingredients available from the market every day. Theo has personally overseen the extensive wine list that features 90% Italian varietals, including a selection of Grappas. The spacious dining room offers views onto the theatre of the chefs in action and the stylish lounge bar presents informal counter-top dining for lunch or dinner, as well as an extensive drinks menu. Since its launch in 2006, Theo Randall at the InterContinental has won numerous awards, including Best Italian Restaurant of The Year from the London Restaurant Awards. The restaurant was a key contributing factor behind the accolade of Best Hotel in the UK for Food, from Condé Nast Traveller and it continues to be recognised by the Sunday Times Food List, the National Restaurant Awards and The London Lifestyle Awards.

Just like Theo Walcott this restaurant could be absolutely top class but the service was distinctly lacking and almost shockingly bad at times. Had to wait for everything, including the bill. Maybe this could explain why on a Thursday lunchtime they were more staff than customers. The rest of Mayfair seemed to be buzzing this place was lifeless. The food... More

Theo Randall is talked up a lot but the hype regrettably does not live up to the reality. The food is average, starters and desserts reasonable, main was disappointing. I'd have had a better slow cooked lamb at Abu Zaad in Shepherds Bush for £6.50. Service slow, inattentive, at times unco-operative. For what it claims for itself, this is a... More

Theo Randall's @ Intercontinental has now become a "must visit" restaurant on every visit to London. The menu is pretty extensive but I would recommend for a first time visit to try the tasting menu, it represents excellent value for money and allows you to taste many different cooking styles and flavours it also allows you to return next time... We had a great time TR. I personally found it to be a little expensive for an Italian but it was nice for a special occasion.

Three of us had dinner at Theo Randall last night and what a wonderful evening it was. All of the food was fabulous but the pasta is on a different level. Truly outstanding. Great atmosphere, really buzzy and a beautiful setting with great staff. The sommelier, Yuri, is the best we've ever come across. His descriptions and choices of wine... More

I would recommend this restaurant at the Intercontinental Hotel to anyone. We took advantage of the special set menu as we were on a late flight and every course was a delight. The seafood risotto is still being raved about. Add in the very good wine offer and I think it would be hard to find such a quality meal... More

A last minute invite from good friends on a Toptable deal. The deal was exceptional value for such a high quality restaurant. We could not fault the food which is presented simply but great care has been taken with flavour and balance, each dish ordered was a true joy to eat. The attentive but unobtrusive service was excellent. A special... More
