Visited on a fine winter’s lunchtime. Busy enough, but not heaving, and a comfortable place to dine. Attentive waiting staff. Food was good, but quite pricey I thought. Been a while since I ate in Chinatown: are these 2024 prices?!

Super busy restaurant means food must be super delicious. Went in for dim sum and everything came steamy hot, quick and staff were so attention to details and explained the dishes. Everything were so tasty so we just kept ordering more! Will definitely come back...for dinner to try their new dishes! Prices were all reasonable, not sure why some comments below said otherwise.More
For years, my brother has been talking about the Crispy Duck in Chinatown, London. So, on a recent visit, we started searching. TripAdvisor reviews led us to Haozhan. We were NOT disappointed! Every dish that came to the table was delicious.. especially the crispy duck!...The dim sum, the gyoza, the spring rolls, the stir fried vegetables and the rice! All lip smacking good. We noticed the Michelin awards posted on our way out, and weren’t surprised in the least! Can’t wait to go back!More
We visited on a Sunday evening. The food ordered (Crispy Duck and fried noodle mains) were good, however service was lacking. The price was £78 for 3 people so not too bad.
First they made us pay for our food half way though the meal. This we a problem when the very bland crab soup arrived. we asked for a refund, just the soup as we did even touch it. They kick up a fuss and left...us waiting at the table for a while. After this they refunded the hole mean and ask me to pay again but without the soup. I don’t know how they did it, but on the second payment I saw that they had reduced the price, but only when the transaction went though my bank I noticed they had made me pay the full amount again.More
Nice restaurant with a few vegetarian options and authentic food. Quality is fine and price as well. It's not really too cosy, but that's fine for a quick bite.
We had about 6 dim sum dishes between the 2 of us and had no problem choosing non-meat ones. All the food was freshly made and very Good . We ate on the terrace and the service was friendly and quick.
First rate dim sum served to table (not from trolley). Restaurant too small and cramped for full Hong Kong experience, but individual items all very good. Service friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Great Chinatown location.
Lovely staff but undoubtedly the worst "chinese" food we've ever eaten. Plenty of better places near by.
one in a row of seemingly identical chinese restaurants in gerrard street we picked it for the sneaked preview on peoples plates which turned out to be a good strategy our duck was delicious - the skin was crispy and the meat succulent and the...price very reasonableMore
This is one of my go to places when I’m in London. Chinatown has so many dim sum restaurants but this is one of my favourite. Yes it can be expensive depending on what you have but I find the portion sizes generous and you...can take it with you if you don’t finish it. Outdoor seating isn’t the comfiest but I’m there for good food and not always comfort. Would recommend a visit if you’re in China townMore
The crispy pork was not crispy. The rice was gritty. The portions were small and we felt rushed. The waiter cleared my husband’s plate while I was still eating. Would not recommend and would not go back.
We had the bbq pork and roast duck with rice costing a reasonable 10.80-11.80 ukp. Food was generally good but some of the pork a little dry. However when the bill came, I was entitely shocked by the pot of jasmine tea charged at 10...ukp- if I were on the ball I should have questioned this. Additionally there was 6.5% service charge added. There was no service in my mind which is not totally unexpected for Chintatown restaurants. When I was a child or even precovid, this traditional dish was a good budget option- it seems no longer. I have no idea if this is now the norm in Chinatown But just good to be aware of in this establishment.More
Bought takeaway whole roast duck for £32. It was my second purchase of duck within two months' (I don't live in London) and it didn't disappoint. The flavours were spot-on and the price was cheaper than most places in Chinatown. There has been occasions in...Chinatown where the duck isn't strongly flavoured, or the meat is scant and all bone. The staff were nice to me inc. the chef who chopped the duck for me. I said the accompanied duck sauce was so good, and they gave me an extra portion (3 in total). If you find a place that does roast duck right, then it's the measure of a good restaurant. Next time when I visit, I will have a sit-down meal and report back.More
Absolutely shocked and appalled at the way we were treated by waiter/manager. We asked a simple polite question about something we’re we’re confused about on the bill and were met with a very agitated then aggressive ‘ You people always ask this, can’t you people...read’ and proceeded to imply that we were racist for asking a simple question which confused us even further. I myself am in the service industry and would never even think of treating my customers this way. Especially when they were being nothing but polite and respectful. I Would NEVER recommend this place to anyone and will warn any friends or family in the future.More
