Only been one lunch time but amazing different food, great service and reasonable prices. Catered for all tastes and presented well.
I joined a birthday party meal for around 20 people and as I haven't been to Farmer Browns before I was really looking forward to it especially having read the good reviews. I couldn't believe how poor the service was...and not sure where to start. We didn't get a good welcome and most of the evening we were left upstairs... More
Six old friends met for lunch and chose the £12 for 2 course menu. The setting is laid back Farmhouse kitchen style, rustic - comfortable and relaxed and the choice of food reasonable for a set menu. The service was friendly and helpful and the food, which we all enjoyed, excellent and good value. If you want a leisurely lunch... More
The restaurant is located on Tombland close to Norwich cathedral. I visited on 22 November with family members. Upon arrival, a member of staff greeted us. She showed us to our table. Drinks were ordered whilst we viewed the menu. The restaurant’s claim to fame is local Norfolk food and produce. When we arrived loud music was playing and conversation... More
We went on Monday night to have the taste of Norfolk - all you can eat buffet menu. We came a couple of months ago as we heard of it through recommendation and it was brilliant! The menu chioce was great, the service was lovely and the atmosphere was nice! On Monday, I didnt like the menu choice as much... More
It really is the quality of the produce used in the kitchen that shines what otherwise wouldn't break your stride. We sat in the dining room where the kitchen is housed and although the table wasn't quite cleared from the previous diners, it was a busy Friday lunchtime. The menu is interesting and although not exactly overburdened with choice, there's... More
Having no luck finding somewhere for a late lunch we stumbled across Farmer Browns. The set lunch menu was 2 courses for £12.00 and you could choose to have starter/main or main/dessert. It was a fairly small choice but we liked this as it usually means that the food will be well cooked and the ingredients are fresh. As one... More
My wife and I visited this restaurant during a lunchtime trip to Norwich. Considering we were the only ones in the place when we arrived the service was a bit on the slow side. The food on the other hand was excellent. Certainly worth another visit.
The food was good and well presented, the restaurant was very quiet, when others all around were very busy, because it was quiet we had a relaxing evening. However under the circumstances one would have expected the service to be excellent - which it was not, the waitresses were not at all attentive, in fact one spent a lot of... More
Firstly, it was a busy evening and although that shouldn't be an excuse, well, it may be. The food was adequate. The menu selection was adequate. The wine selection was adequate. The flavours were adequate. The ambiance was non-existent with a large party upstairs making it impossible to talk with a constant thump thump thump of the bass speaker....not what... More
