It might be lovely inside, and the cakes are the best but queing in the rain to go in is a bit much - there are so many great places to go in York. The long wait did not make the experience great, sorry. I shall leave the experience to the tourists. Jazz nights however are well worth booking more

Love the decor, the food, the staff!! Read about Betty's in Rick Steves and knew that I had to try it. Our bed and breakfast also highly recommended this establishment. The only downfall was it was a bit toasty throughout the upstairs and downstairs. If you like it warm, then you'll be fine. If not, wear light cothing! more

We have been going to Bettys for years and never had any complaint. Today we had eggs benedict which had big dollops of hollondaise on the egg.
