Thank you for taking the time to do a Review, whilst our reputation has spread and we consider ourselves a destination restaurant, we would be amased to find you travelled from as far as Scotland !!!!, so we can only assume you were visitors to the area in general and we would be delighted to see you next time your...

We ate here for Sunday lunch and were very pleasantly surprised with the wide choice of meals. We both choose Sunday Roast, the food arrived promptly, it was piping hot, plenty of fresh veg and lots of meat. We both had Sticky Toffee pudding for dessert again delicious. Two meals and our drinks £27! The service was superb, the landlady...

We thank the Reviewer for their Review of our Sunday Lunch offering and are delighted that they not only enjoyed their lunch, but also thought it was great value at two courses for £10.00pp. They are correct in the fact that they state Paul and I work very hard, so it always very well received when someone takes the time...

We had a wonderful meal, thank you very much!!! 10/10!!! Best pate weve ever eaten!! Great entertainment by the landlord.. Made us feel at home Pub very traditional
We thank the Reviewer for their generosity, whilst we had no sight of the Review, we were aware it was being done via a mobile phone, whilst they sat at one of our dining tables. In response to their having commented, how they were fast becoming regulars here and how they loved it.......the landlady told them about the previous Reviewers...

What a disappointment this pub was! We visited as a family group of six mature adults on Saturday 16th March 2013. We live all over the country and don't manage to get together that often and so an occasion like this is special. We were shown through to the restaurant and as soon as were entered were told that we...

Every one is entitled to their opninion, whilst we appreciate every feedback we get, we are sometimes astonished at how the truth is misrepresented. We do have a policy of requesting no coats on the backs of chairs, there is a good reason for doing so, it is because our restaurant is laid out such that we have to pass...

Sunday lunch was great, well cooked food and plenty of it. There is a meal deal offer which is two courses for £10, good value for money. We both had the lamb roast and then apple pie for desert, yummy!!!! We will be back and would highly recommend.
This Review was done at the request of the management, when the Reviewer stated on dining, "what a lovely lunch and what great value", in light of what had been implied by a previous Reviewer, they were asked if they would kindly do a Review for us based on their comments to us in person........we thank them for their time...

Sunday roast was ok. Service was ok. Only had one choice of desert. We missed the small print then had to pay overprice for over inflated average food. Made to feel stupid in the process. Would not revisit.
This Review is not based on the quality of our food or service, it is based on the fact the reviewer tried to get a reduction in the bill, even threatening Trip Advisor in the process. On a Sunday we offer a Deal £10.00 for Sunday Roast and a Dessert, it is received by diners to be a fabulous offer....

Thank you for doing a review on us, we are glad you decided to take a break from the M1 and not only found us, but enjoyed your stop with us, having passed a few other eateries to get here. You are right in your comment, Paul neither operates a coffee machine or computer, says he's too long in the...

We went here on a Saturday night and the food was great value and really nice. This pub has real character and is full of historical memorabilia. Even though it was our first time we were welcomed like locals.the owners and staff are so friendly an attentive, you just don't want to go home.
We are delighted the Reviewer enjoyed their first visit to us and look forward to seeing them on many more ocassions.

We thank the Reviewer for their words of praise as to receive such high praise during a period of difficulty and change, as we are between chefs at present is testmony to the standards which are set by The Management and which we strive to achieve regardless of the Gremlins which often raise their heads in the hospitality industry, so...
