Kayal is by far the best Indian type restaurant in Nottingham, if not the East Midlands. The food is totally different to anything I have eaten before and is excellent. The staff are incredibly helpful, knowledgable and friendly. I cannot praise the food, service, value or staff high enough. Well worth a visit! more

We went to the restaurant last week to celebrate a birthday on someone's recommendation. It was very crowded (not a problem) and very noisy. Although the serving staff were very friendly, our meals took over an hour to arrive. We were not impressed with the food at all. more

Have been twice and the veggie thali (although it looks impressive) was not very exciting - largely tepid food and pre-cooked popadoms.
