Couldn't have been more helpful changing their food to suit the dietary requirements of both of us, and felt really naughty having Cosmopolitans instead of Earl Grey. Worth a try if you are close by.

Read menu outside it looked good 2 courses for £15.95.Once inside menu that was given said 2 courses £17.95. Went ahead and ordered glad we did. We stayed at the Hilton, which owns the bar and we had an evening meal there with friends. We all enjoyed the food and the waiters were very friendly and attentive. I can highly recommend the half roast chicken and there was lots of choice.

We had a time scale and asked specifically if we would be OK - and the wait staff kindly checked with the kitchens and assured us we would be fine. Myself and my friend had Xmas lunch. I had lunch at Jamie Olivers restaurant in Notts the day before and was disgusted with the food and service. Nicholsons was so different in comparison , amazing food, excellent service and great value for money. Well done! Visiting again for lunch tomorrow !

Ate here with friends, pleasant enough atmosphere and the staff were friendly and helpful. Chose from the Christmas menu (3 courses), food was ok but seemed very mass produced. We were in and out within an hour as the food is obviously all plated up and ready to go from the kitchen at the back. Not somewhere to linger!
