When looking for somewhere to eat before moving on to a club, my partner and I came upon Loch Fyne in Nottingham. I'm not a big seafood fan but must admit I think I am converted. Non pretentious, good seafood, have had dinner and also set lunch here very good value for money. Don't drink too much wine as the loos are down a long staircase. Waiting staff always attentive. more

We decided on a last minute trip here for dinner. The staff were very accomodating and helpful. The oysters were so good we had second helpings and skipped dessert. The food was quite good but we were located in a corner behind the kitchen, with a good view of the cooking area. This rather spoilt the atmosphere. Staff pushed past us to get to a storeroom, we were advised that they had been told not to do this. more

We used to go here a lot. Apparently Loch Fyne (the chain) has recently been sold/taken over and maybe this explains why our last visit was not so good. Mussels that were past their best, chips and goujons that had been cooked in old cooking oil, and things we ordered were forgotten. Maybe the new owners are trying to save... more
