The restaurant is very attractive and quite large. Staff are very efficient and friendly. There are sittings on a Saturday evening 7pm or 7.30 pm, and then 9pm or 9.30pm.which perhaps made us feel just a little rushed. Would have been nice to have a little longer between each course. First impressions are strong because of the stylish decor and prompt, friendly service. My way of assessing a restaurant on a first visit is to try a set menu, and we went for one for about £20 including a deep fried fish. Overall it rarely rose above the quality of what's available in a supermarket. Top marks for service though... more

Rather formal setting which can be a bit stifling. However, the food is very good - with lots of interesting and well-flavoured veggie options. more

4 of us went to the Tarn Thai on a saturday night early in January. The place was very busy, and the food was excellent quality. We opted for one of the banquets, and there was so much food, and all of it tasted delicious. Prices were also reasonable. We werent rushed either! Will return. more

have only been here once so may be a bit soon but loved their interior, especially the chairs and cushions- very cheap lunch deal, red duck curry recommended for those who can take spicy food. more
