urned up on Thursday night for sushi, in a group of three. We were slightly perturbed to see a small queue forming down the road (it was the beginning of term which is perhaps a busy time). We joined the end of the queue and actually found it moved quite quickly. The interior of the restaurant is very well decorated... more
Bit of a letdown, we looked forward to this one. Food came in small portions and most of it fairly bland or strong. Having said that...ONE of the dishes we had was quite tasty. This review is for takeaway only, not eaten in the restaurant. Didn't seem to be like other Japanese food I've had. Maybe regional?? more
Very good quality food at a reasonable price. It was a highlight of a short trip to Oxford. We stumbled across whilst wandering around the streets and went in based on the number of people inside. We were not disappointed at all with the result. Can highly recommend this as a quick and tasty and affordable place to go. more
I had the tonkatsu and it tasted just like my host-mum used to make in Japan, so a big thumbs up from me! more

Friendly, good service, nice sushi. First place I tasted Edamame beans (soy) and now they're a favourite. more
A typical English variation Japanese food and people think it's authentic...the materials themselves are tasteless apart from the taste of salt and not fresh enough which the Japanese normally very picky with. Too much MSG as well more

Lovely home-cooked Japanese food - a bit like eating in somebody's kitchen, in a good way - be prepared to share a table, so possibly not a romantic meal out... more
