Super setting, good honest rustic food, perfectly cooked. The best drop scones every. Lovely staff. Locals book well for weekend lunches so pre-book for lunchtime. Lovely place to watch the ducks and swans, the salmon leaping and the heron waiting in the reeds! More

This is a gem. Completely unassuming but with great service and excellent food. I had the best cassoulet I've ever eaten - including many in France. And it is licensed. Booking essential. More

I'm a regular visitor to this cafe(every weekend to be honest !) because every time I go the food is excellent. The menu isnt large but everything I have tried has been top quality, the soup, the bread, the butternut squash, the ravioli and the best omelette Ive ever eaten, ever ! The wine is good, so is the coffee,... More

We've eaten here twice this year and both times had really delicious home cooked meals. The menu is short, which I always take as a good sign. You know it's all freshly cooked and seasonally sourced. I had the ragu with gnocchi. The gnocchi was very light and delicate, not stodgy at all. My husband had the red mullet, fennel... More

I have eaten here several times. It is part of a community/charity enterprise. The service is excellent. The food is very good. However it is neither a cheap cafe nor a restaurant and price is not then cheap? More

We came here last week and I first noticed things were a little different when the lady serving offered us a hot water bottle as we were having to sit outside due to the fact that the cafe was full! That was a good start as I thought that was rather thoughtful, we placed an order and a table was... More

My wife and I visited The Green Cafe during the Food festival in September and found the cafe to be a charming and lovely spot to have lunch. The food is freshly cooked to order and is locally sourced and presented with a smile and enthusiasm for the produce and the venue. Its appears well managed and with a friendliness... More
