Description: Roughly translated from Sardinian, Ai means come and join us, its an appropriate title for one of Baths most welcoming restaurants. Currently the only restaurant in the South West specialising in Sardinian cuisine, Ai, on George Street close to the Assembly Rooms and The Circus is a unique dining proposition, providing Baths gastronomes with an opportunity to step outside of the Italian comfort zone. A modern interior inspired by the warm tones and natural materials of a traditional trattoria leads through to a suntrap courtyard just made for enjoying Ais summery cuisine. Head chef Roberto Lilliu puts years of experience working in Mediterranean kitchens to use here, with the menu full of the warm flavours of Southern Europe.

If you like Italian home cooking you'll love this place. The owner uses family recipes from Naples and Sardinia to produce very special food at reasonable prices, in a friendly atmosphere.

Wonderful food, great value and friendly staff! We happened upon this restaurant in the center of Bath after a long day wondering about Beth's attractions, we had cocktails just a few doors along then stopped in for and early meal. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food is amazing, I had boneless chicken thigh with a rocket and... More

We were in Bath for 4 nights and ate dinner at the Aio twice. We "stumbled" upon Aio on our first evening in Bath — a Sunday and Mother's Day. It was quite (we ate early and took advantage of the early evening set meal special price of two courses for a specific price — which I cannot remember). The... More

We were thrilled to find somewhere that would still take orders up to 10.30pm - after our trip to the theatre - it was a 5 minute walk from the Theatre Royal. Really friendly waiter, quite small - about 8 tables. Fantastic menu plus specials. I don't normally finish what I'm given but this was completely delicious - homemade ravioli... More

Myself and my fiancee visited Aio for the second time recently. We returned as when we visited the first time it was one of the highlights of our visit to Bath. Beautiful fresh food cooked using Sardinian ingredients. A lovely meal in a wonderful atmosphere. Would definitely visit again and would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a 'special'... Myself and my boyfriend came accross this restaurant by pure chance. We wanted to eat and sit in the sun and there were 5 or so tables outside this very small Sicilian restaurant in Bath. We were overwhelmed by the smells of the food being eaten around us so thought we would give it a try. We were not disappointed!... More

My wife and I ate at Aio on Sunday 5th May. We booked the Sunday as they were advertising their suckling pig special. However, when we arrived we were told they had none left despite it being only 7:30pm and they still were advertising it outside. They offered another pork dish instead which we ordered. A starter of crab cakes... More

I've been to Aio on a couple of occasions now and is one of my favourite places to eat. The staff are friendly and welcoming in a relaxed atmosphere. I have been for a quick lunch with my family and had a beautiful lamb ragu with gnocchi which definitely hit the spot. I've also been in the evening for a... More
