We went for Sunday lunch (Easter day) and all had the roasts. We each got one large slice of meat, two potatoes and shared a small-ish dish of vegetables between us. We asked for no Yorkshire Pudding but got no "instead". It was very disappointing, especially at their prices! They're clearly trading on (a) location and (b) no return business... more

Full of very nice looking people, and judging by the amount of people eating, what looked like very nice food,- we booked a table. The Angel is in a beautiful location, and the interior is nicely decorated. However, our food at lunchtime was very disappointing. I had the "Roast Vegetable Lasagne" from the specials board. The roast vegetables were indistinguishable from one another (diced orange veg, I think they were squash and carrots), and were in a very ordinary tomato sauce. The only flavour... more
