I went to Little Saigon on a rainy Tuesday night in November and was pleased to see it was busy with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The food was tasty with plenty of authentic flavouring and there was certainly enough of it. Staff were friendly and attentive. It's a fairly cheap and cheerful place - with more of a cafe... more

Those who have ate Pho usuallly end up addicted to it and need a fix every now and again. Having just moved back to the wild and wooly Noerth of England after 10 yrs in the tropics, we were ready for ours. Pho are big steaming bowls of beef stock (tradionally cooked overnight) served with beef slices and rice noodles in the... more

We were staying overnight in Newcastle on the way to Edinburgh in Aug 2009. I looked in tripadvisor for possible restaurants with a possible veggie choice (my wife is vegitarian) and decided on Little Saigon. We did not book and I had a couple of "fall-back" choices if it had been full. The Bigg Market area is quite lively but... more

Me and a friend went here on a Thursday night, and were really disappointed! We ordered "chicken satueed" for starter, which was greasy and average. My friend ordered a five-spice chicken for main, which tasted exactly the same as her starter, and I ordered lemongrass duck, which was fatty, and nothing I couldn't have made at home, to be honest.... more

we went for supper with our 2 daughters (9and 12) for an early supper on a thursday night whilst on a holiday in northumberland. The food was unimaginatively, and rather blandly, average but not special ( with the notable exception of the salad) and yet the prices wrre similiar to London - our local vienamese in London would cost much... more

I have eaten here on a number of occasions both as part as a large party and with my partner and the food has been consistently excellent. The menu is extensive and everything I have been served has been delicious and has tasted very fresh, and prices are very reasonable. The only thing that lets this place down is its... more

We had lunch and were very satisfied with the food - very tasty and great value. Too bad the service was poor - a girl taking our order fled the scene when she didn't know whether they had Newcastle Brown Ale or not, and the guy that showed up instead wasn't any better. He was profoundly confused by the question... more

My wife and I ate here for the first time yesterday night, Sat 27th June. As it was our first time we decided to go for one of the set menu options so we could sample a few dishes. Everything was delicious, full of flavour, aromatic, fresh and well presented. Looking at food arriving at other tables around us, everything... more

Having been here at least three times, Little Saigon has to be one of my favorite places to eat in Newcastle. The service is always superb, and the staff some of the friendliest. Don't let the Bigg Market location fool you - there's really nothing seedy/tacky about this place. I continue to be shocked when the bill arrives - wine,... more
