The staff who were looking after our table were exceptional, tending to our every need with a smile on their face even though we were a big party. The atmosphere was great and our mum had a lovely 90th birthday , we made some amazing...memories, thank youMore

I can’t praise the staff enough at this lovely pub. We had afternoon tea yesterday to celebrate my mums landmark 90th birthday. There were over 25 of us! The sandwiches and cakes were delicious. A really memorable afternoon. Thank you so much.

Just back from two nights at The Bell. We were three couples celebrating one of ours 'landmark' birthdays. The Bell fulfilled all our hopes that this stay would be and beyond that Bedroom was excellent with such a good bed and particularly good shower in...the bathroom (room 3). Dining was spot on for two excellent evening meals, breakfast was equally as good. All the staff we came into contact with were first class. Cheerful and obliging at all times, especially as our first night was a surprise birthday celebration for one of us. Thank you a truly memorable few days.More

I hadn't been to this pub in many years but when we went there for a meal recently I was very impressed. The ambience is so warm and cosy when you walk in - big candles everywhere make it look great - I hate brightly...lit places, I want a romantic, relaxing atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive - almost too good at times, needed to be left alone at points to chat etc without being checked on. The food was just gorgeous, it all looked and tasted great. It was hot and came quite quickly even though they were busy. I really liked the small dessert and coffee idea as a big pud can just make you feel stuffed! Overall we loved it - areas for improvement? It was pretty pricey for a pub and the chap looking after us was very friendly - but boy did he look scruffy! Baggy shirt hanging out and baggy, scruffy jeans. Just wear a decent shirt and nicer jeans/trousers and you create the impression you're making an effort for your customers, who after all are paying a great deal of money to eat here!More

We booked a meal to celebrate my Fathers 80th Birthday. My Wife and I arrived a little early for a few drinks and after making staff aware we had arrived our waitress Sandy came over and introduced herself. Sandy took my Wife to choose a...table for us all to sit at and put some table decorations on we had taken with us . When my Father arrived Sandy came straight over with a Glass of Prosecco for him. We all made our meal choices and throughly enjoyed them. The presentation of the dishes was great . Overall we had a great evening Sandy made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for her when looking after us. Will definantly be gong back and hopefully Sandy will be on hand to look after us.More

We've not been to The Bell for many years and after such a fabulous evening on Saturday I don't know why! The Bell was the perfect location to meet friends halfway and on arrival we were so impressed with the space and ambience. Katherine looked...after us so well - almost second guessing everything we needed and pacing the evening to perfection with drinks and meals arriving at just the right time and water refills without even asking. The menu is changed daily and the choice was first class. For starters the chili beef was delicious with strips of sirloin in a light batter - a huge improvement on a Chinese takeaway when you can't see or taste the beef! There was also the choice of this as a main course with salad which a friend had and it was so plentiful. Sea bass was so well cooked - as was the burger and my fish and chips were just as I like it with a fabulous homemade tartar sauce and mushy peas. Pricewise, The Bell is very reasonable for the service and standard of cuisine. I can highly recommend and we will be back very soon and thank you Katherine for outstanding service.More

This is the fourth time that we have visited this pub each time. It has always been excellent. Which is difficult to achieve at this moment in time with lack of staff everywhere. Food is delicious, hot and well presented. Everywhere is clean and tidy...and clean the toilets.More

This is my local, have always considered it a place to go for a treat as it was a cut above but lately it’s starting to fade. Portion sizes are shrinking and the prices are increasing - so pay more for less? The atmosphere is...still very welcoming, but with the food presentation looking ‘average pub grub’ it’s not a go to any more. Shame, will go again but not for a while, there are better for same/less within range.More

Excellent food and service. Situated Approximately 20 minutes outside Stratford upon Avon. Plenty of parking. Great menu - we opted for Chicken Liver Parfait and Pork Belly Bites - followed byFish & Chops, Venison pie. All cooked to perfection! I opted for a glass of...Nero Avola - which was ok but lacked depth Highly RecommendedMore

My wife and I went for an evening meal. It’s a very friendly pub and is our local with great service and beer so we are always keen to promote it. However at the moment the food is starting to let it down. It is...okay but not brilliant for the prices charged. The food no longer tastes homemade about 7/10. They need to try harder as there is better quality food at the same price locally, such as the Fuzzy Duck at Armscote. We want it to be a winner!More

We enjoyed an excellent group meal at the Bell. Service was excellent our waitress, was very attentive and helpful with suggestions. Only disappointment was the squid which was overcooked and greasy. Otherwise would have been a 5* rating

It really is a fabulous pub with rooms. There is a circular walk you can do from the pub - and they have printouts with directions - the surrounding fields/farms/churches are beautiful and its a very quiet area. Lovely mulled wine to warm up in...the pub on return. Our room (superior - room 3) was gorgeous, very pretty, spacious, huge and very comfy bed and luxury bedding. L'occitane products in the bathroom. Very big roll top bath as well as a large shower. Good hot water and pressure. Plenty of tea/coffee/biscuits. If you were there in the summer you could sit out on your little balcony looking out over the pub garden/fields. We ate in the pub for dinner - which was really good - lovely staff and service and the food was excellent, we shared calamari, then confit duck, venison pie and some side of chips, followed up with a delicious white choc and cranberry cheesecake and a very good value bottle of provence rose. The pub was very busy at lunchtime (it was a Thursday) and busy in the evening - with a nice atmosphere. We also had breakfast (included in our Booking.com deal) - great choice and again lovely smiley staff and good service. The full English is the best my husband has had! I had very nice pancakes. It is super close to Stratford upon Avon if you wanted to stay a couple of nights and needed to find more to do (the village of Alderminster is very quiet - though the countryside and walking looks good). We used it as stopover on the way up to Birmingham. This really is a lovely place to stay, I would not hesitate in recommending it.More

What a fantastic pub! They were so friendly and helpful when I made a mistake with our booking. They made our experience really special for my sister’s 50th birthday and the whole thing exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was...excellent. Fab atmosphere and beautifully decorated. I wish we lived nearer as we’d definitely be back again. Highly recommend and thank you to the great team at the BellMore
