Family meal, poor seating, over priced bar food, over priced drinks, no where to park.......the whole thing was a disaster.
We had a voucher for a gastro meal for two and this was our closest location. The website looked promising and we delighted with our evening out. We arrived early and the bar had a good atmosphere to enjoy while we waited. There was a great choice of specials and the menu, including plenty of choice for a vegetarian who... More
Earliest we could get a table was 9pm but we enjoyed a nice bottle of red in the pub first. Great selection of Specials, and very knowledgable staff, and great service. We were just going for starters and mains but we were tempted by an excellent cheese board that came with vintage Port. An excellent evening with excellent food and... More
The all experience was very good, arrived late, alone but still well received. After a not-so-long wait, I had my table as promised. The space is nice, a mist of modern with old wood tables (liked the combinations). Food was excellent, had the Gammon Rib Eye Steak which was divine!
A little bit slow at first when asking for the table and waiting for the menu however it picked up rather quickly after that. I sat in the restaurant part to the left of the bar, i found the other area to the right very noisy last time. I chose from the specials board, i had the soup of the... More
The food here was good, but it can work out a little pricey if you don`t have a special offer. We had 2 courses for £14.50 which was great. We were advised however NOT to have the fishcakes!Nice buzzy atmosphere gets very busy later on at night. Good attentive service and they seem to be VERY good at up selling... More
We were in Warwick with our friends from Stockholm and taking a break from perusing the antique and bric-a-bac shops in the town, we came upon the Rose and Crown by chance. It looked charming from the outside and peering through the large windws it looked a cosy place for lunch. We found a table for four next to the... More
Great for lunch. A good range of food. Quick and friendly service. A lovely setting. One of my favourite places to eat in Warwick.
We live in Warwick and eat here a lot, I think in five years I have had one course I didn't particularly like and that was my own stupid fault for ordering BBQ chicken when I don't particularly like BBQ sauce. Service is always attentive, standards all round are always high, we always take visitors there and they always love... More
All six of us really enjoyed our dinners and desserts. The food was extremely tasty. As we were there at the beginning of October, they had just introduced their Autumn menu. Everything we ordered was incredible. I had the roast lamb - it was so tender with tasty gravy. The sticky toffee pudding with ice cream was to die for.... More
