Called in today for a late Valentines lunch and as usual the greeting was very friendly and orders for drinks prompt. We have been several times before, old and new owners and personally can not see that much difference, the lady that used to work there with the old owners served us today and she is fantastic, nothing is too much trouble for... My husband and I decided to go for a walk and so as an incentive for me, our walk was to include a visit to The Grouse. We were regulars prior to it changing hands and I must admit, I did think it would go downhill - wrong! The standards I experienced previously are still there. Our visit was on... More

Having been a regular here for more years than I care to admit to I was very disappointed with our meal on Sat 11 Feb. I had the fish pie whioch used to be the best in the district but now it has reached rock bottom. The fish was ok but not as varied as previously and as for the... More

We go out every Sunday for lunch & have tried The Grouse Inn on several occasions in the past. However it has now changed hands & for the better. The staff were friendly on arrival, smart in appearance, helpful & polite throughout our visit. Varied menu to cater for all tastes. In our group were 2 couples we sampled for... More

We visited with 4 adults and 2 children (8 and 10 years old), we have all dined at the Grouse many times under the previous management, this was the first time under the new management. In the past we've found the food to be very good, the prices very reasonable, and the atmosphere and staff excellent. I can't see any... More

We have dined at The Grouse several times now and have always enjoyed good service, good food and a good atmosphere, our latest visit on the 29th Jan was no exception, the staff as usual were friendly and helpful, in reply to the adverse comments I think they should be taken with a pinch of salt, I find it hard... Went with family right before christmas (as is tradition!) and wasn't disappointed. Was a bit wary as I know it's recently changed hands, but can safely say that the quality of the food and the service has not suffered. Everyone was happy with their meals and there were no complaints. I had the chicken in cream/brandy sauce and it was... More

Food was good. Booked a table for 1:30 was served our meal at 3:00. Serving staff uninformed, no apologies. One menu to share between nine people! The kids were starving by the time the food came. Will not be coming again. More

We have to apologies that you waited for your food longer than usual on sunday. As you said, our food is good and it seems that lots of people chose the same time as you did to visit us. We have learned from our hiccup and devised a more practical bookings system for the future. Thanks for your valuable feedback. More

Last Night came home from work little late than usual. Decided to take my partner out, went to the grouse inn in oakworth, and joined two of our friends there. For a week night it was suprisingly busy, the atmosphere was great, and the log burning fire a great touch. Tryed the ham and leak pie, was very nice and... More
