I booked the Roast for a 60th birthday party for 58 family and friends of all ages. The staff were delightful, friendly and very attentive - the food was well above average compared with the usual buffets. Everyone enjoyed the evening so hats off and well done to Matthew and his team. More

I had my 30th here and it was lovely. We had the restaurant to ourselves and all the guests enjoyed their food. The staff were very patient and allowed us to stay till 2 as I'd booked a dj (through them) and wanted to dance for as long as possible. It's a lovely size and a nice location. Very easy... More

Popped in for some lunch with my mum and we were pleasantly surprised. The cafe has a good atmosphere, and the menu was very reasonably priced and it all sounded lovely. And most importantly, our food was delicious! More

Quality of food is very inconsistent; I've had burnt or cold toast several times, sometimes sandwiches and soup at lunch are nice, sometimes they are not. Service is generally uninspiring and unfriendly. More

We ate at this restaurant on a whim after finding it online during a weekend trip to Leeds, whilst looking for somewhere for a Sunday roast. We arrived at 12pm. Service was personable and friendly.  We ate roast dinners at £9 each. Gorgeous food and lovely desserts.  My husband commented on the quality of the ale and my wine was... More

Organised a Corporate evening with a four course dinner followed by virtual horse racing event. What a success! From the minute I met Matthew, the hands on owner, I had confidence that the venue, the food and the service was going to be top notch - and I wasn't wrong. Although, his team were catering for 66, all the preparation... More

My husband and I got married on Christmas Eve 2011 and decided to hold our reception at The Roast because it was amazing value for money and we were able to personalise the wedding to our taste. We wanted a relaxing and informal reception for as many family and friends we could afford and The Roast enabled us to have... More

I booked the Roast for my 40th birthday party and they gave us the best night ever! The venue is perfect for parties (I had 90-100 guests) and the covered heated outside seating area was a hit too. Being so close to the train station but away from the crowds is a major bonus. The food was fantastic (and at... More

Right from the outset Matthew & the team at The Roast were extremely helpful in organising our event. They were more than happy to accomodate our special requests in terms of food and drinks. The service was excellent and the food was as goood as we had hoped it would be when we selcted the menu from the varied options... More

Had a brilliant party at The Roast! Everyone commented on how great the place looked, how good the food was and how helpful the staff were. I dropped my decorations off for the party earlier in the day and came back to set them up and it had already all been done for me! Better than I could of done... More
