I live locally to The Bell and I am so pleased to see that the boys who run it are at last getting the recognisation that they so deserve. Just been awarded Best Food award in the Echo. I love cider and drop in at least once a week to sample the new additions - however I must say that... More

The lunch was good but felt one or two things were missing. No bread offered with our first course.I stuck to the set lunch but paid £2 extra for a v small piece of fish .All nicely cooked and fancily presented. My friend enjoyed her whitebait and steak. We both had deserts. The bill was not low .Although warm it would have been nice... I went to The Bell for a spot of lunch last week with my father and have to say it exceeded all expectations and I can't believe that I haven't visited before!! Let's start with the food!! Absolutely gorgeous, I am a huge believer in local produce and the bell didn't let me down. At the start of the meal... More

4 of us had dinner at the bell based on some online research and from the get go everything was wonderful. We were staying at the Celtic Manor and wanted to escape the hotel. The Bell was unique, the range of wine, ales and ciders were varied and extensive. The food and service both excellent. With the highlight of my... More

We went to The Bell at Caerleon for our Christmas Party. As the cider society, it was important for us to give our members a Christmas meal that was fitting to what we do. Lee at The Bell dealt with our request well and was extremely helpful with creating a menu specifically for our party. They were very helpful in... More

Christmas lunch at The Bell, with my wife, was a great experience. With seven courses each, it's tough to describe in a concise fashion. The highlights for us were the wood pigeon, scallops, venison and beef main courses and an incredible creme brûlée. Everything was cooked exactly as I requested and paired with delicious flavours. I do have to say... More

An unexpected visitor meant a major change of plans, and all for the good. A knock on the door and my daughter’s partner stood there, calling in as he was passing. Since Sian lives in Hove and we live in Cwmbran “just passing” may seem unlikely, but Adie had been in Carmarthen seeing a client so on his way back... More

We ate in the Bell on the evening of 1st December and had a very good meal. The pub itself is warm and cozy and the staff were very welcoming, we were a table of 7 and had pre ordered our starters and main courses, these came out all together and, if applicable, hot. I had the scotch egg starter... More

We wanted somewhere to celebrate my fiancé's new job and were torn between the Celtic manor and The Bell. Having previously had a lovely meal at the bell earlier in the year, we chose here and were so pleased that we did! Delicious starters, mains and desserts with a wide range of menu choices and specials. The food was of... More
