We stayed in Belfast for a night away and decided to visit Cayenne. We had an enjoyable evening where the food was good but the quality of the service did not match. On arriving, we were shown to a waiting area. Our coats were not taken and we were not offered a drink. Indeed we had to try hard to... more

My husband and I did the early bird on Saturday 28th November. Coming up from Dublin where restaurant prices are still ridiculously high this was excellent value, £12.95 for 2 courses. We were very impressed with the food (especially as early birds can be a bit limiting). We both had the best lobster bisque we've ever tasted - it truly... more

My wfe and I went to cayenne on Sat 28th Nov. We had not been there for several years and decided to try it again now that Paul Rankin is taking an interest in cooking in restaurants again. I have to say that the food that I ate was devine but I had some issues. I had seared carpaccio of... more

I am not sure why this place is not rated higher? I showed up 1 hour late and the kitchen was about to close and they were very nice and accommodating. My wife's Halibut and my Lamb were great. I think the food is as good as any restaurant in New York or London. Btw, they make a great Irish... more

Visited Cayenne on Saturday evening. The food was outstanding - the Vension Wellington a particular highlight, perfectly cooked and great combination of flavour. The service and atmosphere were excellent. In the company of 8 friends we all agreed that this was one of the best meals ( if not the best) of 2009. Looking forward already to a return visit. more

Great Restaurant, atmosphere is excellent, service 100%. Starters and Main concise and well presented, great flavours. Desert lacking the expect level after excellent main starter and main course. I had the raspberry cheese cake, it was stoggy (however our party of eight said their deserts were on a whole very good) Icecream made in house is excellent. All in all... more

Sat. p.m. in Belfast and we arrived early at Cayenne. Met with a smile and a welcome. We were offered drinks and menus arrived. The choice was great plus specials! We had three starters - lobster + avocado/smoked salmon with pancakes/crabmeat bruschetta. All excellent - lobster was best! Pork belly/Monkfish/Beef fillet and Prawns. All to die for - everything was... more

Just back from a weekend in belfast, we had booked the private dining room in cayenne for 12 people on saturday night . Everything was excellent, from the moment we arrived the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food and wine was outstanding and I would highly recommend a visit. I had the crispy duck salad to start followed... more
