My favourite restaurant in Belfast and the one we always go to for special occasions. The staff are very helpful and efficient, the food is delightful and it is not as expensive as I thought it would be (£30-40 per head including wine for 3 courses). more

My husband took me to Cayenne for my birthday meal. We haven't been in a couple of years, and decided to give it a go for a change. Now I know why we hadn't been in such a while. On arrival we were seated at the bar, where our drink order was taken. We waited, and waited and waited, and... more

On a recent overnight stay in Belfast, we got the opportunity to sample this well-known restaurant. And we were not disappointed, the only downside would be the lack of atmosphere but it looks like the locals don’t really go out on Sunday nights. Arriving at 20.15, we were the last to be seated to our table, luckily, all diners were... more

This was my first (and, I expect, last) visit to Cayenne (http://www.rankingroup.co.uk/). A friend was taking me to dinner for my Birthday and we decided on Cayenne based on its generally very good reputation and reviews. Upon arriving, we were seated and had drinks orders taken promptly. The level of service was very good throughout the evening, with friendly staff... more

Dinner at Cayenne was supposed to be the highlight of a short break in Belfast but didn't turn out that way. On arrival we were seated in the bar area with menus and then ignored for the next 20 minutes. The wine we eventually ordered was taken straight to the table so we were without a drink for a good... more

We've been to Cayenne a couple of times and, although the food is good - in this price bracket there are better, James St South or Deans for a start. The restaurant itself is dark with little natural light, we went on a summer's evening and it was a bit like stepping into a cave, an expensive cave but a... more

Although it has been a few months (March), we wanted to give Cayenne an A+ for what was arguably our best meal in Ire and NI. We saw the restaurant featured on "No Reservations" and in several travel books so we wanted to give it a shot after eating more traditional food on our holiday...and the experience was excellent. The... more

I chose this restaurant as it was a special birthday and I had never been to a restaurant owned by a celebrity chef. I used the website to book a table and made a special request - this was responded to within the hour. From the outside it is most unusual but once inside very modern and comfortable. Service from... more

As a vegetarian I find it really annoying when you go to a restaurant and find that there is no choice. My partner is not vegetarian so we often have to compromise. We either go to a vegetarian restaurant which doesn't really satisfy his expectations or we go to a regular restaurant where there is normally only a vegetarian option.... more

Didn't really know what to expect of a "celebrity" restaurant but this was great. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left the staff were great - all with a really good sense of humour but very professional. The food was top quality - all with a bit of a "twist". As someone who's married to a guy... more
