Very disappointed. Poor menu, over priced, eventually plumped for the hot roast snack - a very basic roll with some pork, a very small portion of apple sauce and a brick hard portion of butter! No extras - not a lettuce leaf, tomato, relish in sight. Go to the Hot Roast cafe in Fort William to see how it s1hould... More

Excellent place for a meal; cannot comment on accommodation as didn't stay overnight, but made very welcome and feeling well looked after even though staff had just come away from a long lunch service to a packed house and must've been tired. Very tastefully refurbished; lovely bar and spacious dining room. Fantastic views across the loch through large picture windows;... More

It is fantastic to have the Creagan open again and I am looking forward to cycling round for my coffee when it stops raining(!) I was invited out for my birthday and it was just after the holiday period. The staff were friendly the menu had a selection of prices and dishes and I chose the small portion of fish... More

We live just up the road from the Inn - within staggering distance and it is so nice to have the Inn open again after almost a year lying empty. The new owners are friendly and welcoming and the place has had a new facelift. A nice wood burning stove awaits and the food is lovely. Have had mostly stuff... More

We stopped off on the way back from Fort William and thought we would 'give it a go' as had heard it was reopening. The staff were very friendly, layout showed that a lot of thought had been put into what people want, and drinks were as you would expect. Menu looked tempting, and there was plenty of choice in... Having had lunch, dinner and the opening night "food in a basket" I can honestly say Liz & Alan are turning the Creagan around, they have a good kids menu, a small menu but a good "Specials" board which is all fresh food;- scallops, mussels etc, we do have to pay for fresh food so the prices are no different... I am so sad to see the recent poor reviews by what looks like folks who have been primed to slate the great efforts of the new owners of Creagan Inn. From someone who lives locally (with experience of the previous incarnations of the Creagan) I can say that many locals are thoroughly enjoying having a decent locals pub to... More

Have been to the Creagan a couple of times previously and had good memories of service, atmosphere and food. We went for good food at reasonable prices - and got good service - very poor food at over the top prices. Example: All main courses are pretty much £9.95 minimum - with Steaks at £17.95....! Ouch. But of course it... More

I can only apologise to the reviewer here who was obviously very disappointed and we have taken on board and responded to some of the criticisms as well as acknowledging the praise which was given by another reviewer on the exact same day. It would have been more helpful to have given us the opportunity to correct the things which... More

We could not wait to have dinner in the Creagan on arrival on Tuesday 27th December and again on Tuesday 2nd January. The food was superb!!!! It is great to have such good food within walking distance of the Appin Holiday homes - good food, drink (no dishes to wash or driving)and a 10 minute (albeit very wet in January)... More

Thank you for your positive comments. As you rightly point out we have had some teething problems and whilst we do aim to please we are aiming to find the right market to enjoy our simple home-cooked menu and casual friendly atmosphere. As you will see from other reviews we have not been able to please everyone so far, but... More
