We had a terrible meal at this place. The biggest problem was the staff - they simply couldn't be bothered. They couldn't be bothered to welcome us, they couldn't be bothered to serve us, they couldn't be bothered to make us comfortable, and, at the end of the evening, they couldn't even be bothered to take our money. I had... more

The eating experience at this restaurant is why sites like this are so necessary. Situated on the main A82 just south of Appin, you couldn’t really wish for a better location. However, it serves overpriced, unpalatable food with inattentive and indifferent service, in the hope (or cynicism, depending on your point of view) that the stunning view will distract diners... more

We were staying nearby at the Appin Holiday homes so despite having read varying reviews thought we would give this Inn a try. On our first visit my husband had mussells as a starter which were plentiful and very nice. We both ordered what was described as freshly caught local haddock and chips, unfortunately I am not sure what the... more

Visited the Creagan Inn last Monday. Unfortunately we arrived at 14.37hrs to be told they stopped serving food at 14.30hrs. What annoyed me was that the waitress had just taken the order of another table who had only arrived just in front of us. In the current climate it must be great to be in a position to be able... more

Visited this resturant this evening, but wish I had read some of the reviews prior to travelling. The menu is uninspiring, the steak I had was poor supermarket quality at best. A prawn salad was obviously made from previously frozen prawns, the scampi we ordered only had five peices! Given the local availability of good quality meat and more importantly... more

Lovely location and building but exceptionally dissapointing food and service. To be served frozen chips and tinned peas is not our idea of a meal these days. The scampi were prawns all be it king prawns in batter and the garlic bread obviously supermarket frozen slices. I also got my meal served long before my partner meaning mine was cold... more

We both thoroughly enjoyed the food and the friendly ambience of this lovely Inn. The service was spot on, friendly but unobtrusive and the food was great value for money as well as delicious. I would never pass this place by if I was in the area again, and look forward to visiting during the summer months. more

Good food at reasonable prices. Excellent bar where you will no doubt meet a few friendly locals who can be a mine of information and the views of Loch Crerran are quite stunning - particularily the sunsets. As it stands on the main road, caution required when leaving the car parks. Some warning or speed restriction signs would on approach... more

These guy's know how to look after their guests, having made a last food orders dash in our boat to get moored up on the pub's own mooring and ashore before 9pm (we made it with five minutes to spare) we were fed in grand style with a view of the loch to die for. Having rushed that afternoon from... more

Our family party of 13 stayed for a week at Appin Holiday Homes, and as the Creagan was the only place within walking distance we thought we'd give it a go on our first night. When we walked in our first thought was "this is going to cost an arm and a leg" - the restaurant is really stylish and... more
