I wlaked to Stockbridge, supposedly full of places to eat but not on a Monday lunchtime unless I wanted a chain. Cafe Fish were open and offering lunchtime Tapas from £2 upwards. I had a bruschetta of Beans and Toulouse sausage topped with slivers of Pecorino. I watched it being prepared with as much care as if I had ordered... More

Sat at the bar with an old friend with a beer, I had the scallops to start & moved onto the Cafe Fish and Chips. Clean plates all round, watered attentively by the waiting staff with fantastic wine. More

My wife, daughter and I ate here on a Wednesday night. The restaurant was quite busy with a great atmosphere. The food was excellent and could not be faulted. Great value at £22 for 2 courses. More

Went last night with my wife 6.30, a bit quiet but soon started to fill up. Short menu mainly fish, 2 courses £22, bottle of gavi (very good) £25, deserts start at £7. All the food was first class, we have been to many places in Edinburgh and this is right up there--we prefered it to Ondine and The Whitchery.... More

I've been to Café Fish a couple of times now and we organised a bit of a do with a group of friends for a Saturday night. We arrived at 20:00 and had some drinks at the bar area before being seated. Style is contemporary, fairly minimalist with the hot plate in full view so you can see the dishes... More

I reserved a table at this restaurant for the Saturday night of my stay, and upon arriving outside I seriously considered going elsewhere. I'm so happy that I didn't. The presentation of the place really doesn't do it justice. It's a very clean restaurant, but the decor is a bit dull. The service and food far exceeded my expectations! The... More

Sterile, cold and dull setting, but okay food. Would choose other fish restaurants over this one because of the lack of imagination of the setting. More

This is a really pleasant restaurant serving really good food. Good options for those who don't want seafood are a bonus on a menu sporting some really delicious seafood dishes. My monkfish and tiger prawn Malayan curry was especially good, and complemented nicely by a good choice from a clearly carefully chosen wine list. The staff were very attentive, polite... More

We have just been for Sunday Lunch at Cafe Fish. Perhaps we chose well but I can't remember having such good cooking for such a reasonable price (£19 for 3 courses and 1/2 bottle of decent wine) for a very long time. Every thing was full of flavour and taste - and there is nothing better than the taste of... More
