I stopped here for a late lunch while touring South Queensferry. This restaurant is located near the Rail Bridge that spans the Firth of Forth. The restaurant was busy and there was a lovely fire to add warmth. I ordered the Goat Cheese Parcel from the Bistro menu with a cup of tea. My bill came to 7.25 £ .... More

My goodness. We went for breakfast to this place and as we walked in the manager walked past us, didn't say good morning and seriously looked like he needed his coffee. The staff were not much better. What is wrong with these people? Isn't it nice to say good morning to your customers - specially when your place is empty... More

We called into the Railbridge Bistro in South Queensferry this afternoon for lunch, what a find, not sure how long this has been opened but it our first visit but certainly will not be our last. Very comfortable eating areas and fantastic views of the Forth Bridges. The food was superb and very reasonably priced. There is also a log... More

I popped in for a coffee and was really pleasantly surprised with the premises. There was a large wood fire burning, with nice leather sofas to relax in while having coffee, or a drink. General appearance of the dining area is "rustic" but comfortable. The place is a virtual library, museum about the Forth Bridges, with photos, paintings, newspapers, etc -... More

Stayed at the Hawes Inn next door and chose this for its looks, menu and location. Had haddock, chips and a bottle of poully fuisse. WIne and fish were top notch, the chips frozen and the peas like tasteless cannon balls. Looks to me like a lazy chef and management have stopped bothering as the reviews show similar complaints and... More

We popped in again at lunch time, we felt determined to give the place another go in spite of the last visit not being great. I'm glad we did. We wanted coffees and cakes so rather than sitting at the tables we were shown to the relaxed seating area toward the side of the restaurant. I think it's great they... More

With huge picture windows and a view of both Forth bridges this place certainly has the wow factor, sitting on the front at South Queensferry. It is a relaxed cafe/bar/bistro with pleasant "Scottish service" - no airs and graces. The seafood chowder at £11.95 was exceptionally good - everyone in our party enjoyed both the food and the place itself.... More

I've been hear 5 or 6 times, and enjoyed it every time. I've been for a meal, lunch, and just a coffee, and it's such a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, with a great view of the Forth and the Forth Road and Railway bridges. There are two floors, with a the top floor being more of a balcony around the... More

We had previously visited this Bistro in the summer and sat outside. The food was wonderful and plenty of it (Fish Pie and Ploughman’s Lunch). We had recommended this Bistro to many friends and relatives some of whom were on holiday from Australia. Today we visited again and as it was later in the day (after 3pm) we decided to... More

I go to this place less regularly now - there are better restaurants in the area. Breakfast at 9 am is good but why oh why does the cleaner need to be washing the floors at that time when there are quite a few customers in. She glares at you when you dare to walk across her newly washed floor,... More
