The food at Indaba is fantastic. We were a party of four and ordered a selection of nine different tapas dishes, not one of which disappointed! As an African I was treated to some typical South African food and drink, but all the food was equally good. Service was efficient and friendly. Dessert was exceptional which is unusual for such an... More

First time at Indaba but won't be our last. Great place to eat. Unpretentious interior and looks nothing from the outside which belies the service and gorgeous food inside. Food wonderful and staff friendly and helpful.

I have been many many times and always leave with a smile on my face, as do the people I visit with. Always a chance to try something new or tried and tested classic, you must visit this place!

If ever there was a place i would have given 4.5 out of 5 this was it. I was initially confused about the dishes, but as long as one realises it is basically Tapas but with superb quality and fresh ingredients. The wine special offer was excellent and reasonably priced. It is a must go to for a different experience.

This is a place I will never tire of visiting. From the reservation phone call to walking out the door everything was perfect. The ribs are the best I have had in the UK. The service is friendly, conscientious and completely congruent with the ambience of the restaurant I am always delighted to recommend Indaba to everyone I know coming... More

4 of us were going to Edinburgh for a matinee performance at King's Theatre today and when looking for restaurants near the theatre I saw Indaba advertised. Gave them a ring on spec and they were able to reserve a table for us. It turned out to be a great choice. We ended up ordering 13 dishes to share and... More

We booked a table in advance as there was 5 of us. We have visited before and love it. This visit did not disappoint. We had a mix of specials and menu meals. Our favourites this time were the crocodile steak and the Boerewors sausage, both of which we hadn't tried before. The restaurant was busy with a mix of... More

Visited here on a recent trip to Edinburgh and although this was not our first choice of restaurant on the night I know that it will be when we return to the city one day. I read loads of reviews about the restaurant whilst in the hotel room waiting to go out and there were several which complained about the... More

I went with my girlfriend about 3 weeks ago. We booked a table for 2. We expent about 70 pounds, but we ate like about 7 tapas and bottle of wine, some beers, dessert. Even we ordered twice the goat cheese. It was really good. It is simple food but good cuality and home made. The service was good. They... More

I admit, when I first read the description and it said "Spain, South American, South African, and Scotland" for the inspirations I was a bit nervous, but WOW! It was a great meal! We hadn't booked ahead, but the owner found us a table anyway. Our server was very helpful and recommended a great wine to go with our food.... More
