It has very good atmosphere and good service. They serve most families's favourites like sunday roast etc...
Arrived at 6.45pm and ask for a table told we were 2nd in the Q. Got to the table at 7.30 and ordered crab and avocado salad which was excellent. We then had the rib eye steak which was cooked to perfection and tasted great. Our overall experience was very good.
We visited Browns in Edinburgh after using our local Browns in Newcastle. We booked for a Sunday evening, but didn't need to as was fairly quiet. Service quick and food was fairly good. Although my partner had a chicken and leek pie but it smelt like fish pie! He enjoyed it but the smell was a bit off putting. Also... More

This place is in a great location, the interior is gorgeous and the service is brilliant. However they really need to sort out what is coming out of the kitchen. I had the crab and advocado to start which was really nice. However the main of chicken caeser salad was awful. The chicken was rubbery and looked like it had... More
Good food, great service and value for money. Edinburgh Brown's is our favourite in this chain. We have eaten here every time we visit Edinburgh and have never been disappointed. The crab and avocado stack which my wife had this week was the best starter she has ever had! The service is excellent and atmosphere great. Consistency is hard to... More
Went for darling evening meal on a Friday night. It was reasonably busy but not too noisy and overcrowded and got a nice table in the conservatory. Overall good selection of food and reasonably priced. Starter was good, chose cod for main which was ok rather than wow. Good selection of cocktails. No rush to push you to turn around... More
We have been to Brown's in Edinburgh several times and love it. Being in Edinburgh for just a day we decided we'd go there for tea but as it happened went in for breakfast. And it was as good as ever and we knew it would not be cheap. BUT beware - one coffee £2.20 - reasonable, one fruit salad... More
Visited browns for lunch on Saturday and it was fantastic. Me and my girlfriend were seated quickly and well looked after by the staff the selection of food was good as was the quality and the time it took to arrive to the table. The value was also good for being on George Street will be going back soon
I love Browns for breakfast, brunch or dinner. Always excellent service and too quality food. Diverse menu is good, but maybe 1-2 more veggie/GF options would be a nice touch. I love the way the stay never pressure you to vacate a table and are happy to keep bringing pots of tea after a meal. Great place, please don't change!
