I had a light lunch at Petit Paris today - it was outstandingly good. They had a meal deal £6.95 for a main course and coffee, £9.95 for starter, main and coffee. food terrific and very reasonable. Small restaurant with a really good, informal atmosphere. Ordered from the plat de jour menu and for three courses, coffee and decent bottle of wine it cost only £52 for two. Visited Petit Paris in Grassmarket on Sat 27.9.08 after searching the net for a good restaurant review before my trip to Edinburgh - I certainly wasn't disappointed. Didn't book a table and turned up at 8.50pm. They said they were fully booked but when I asked if we could come back later, they said to come back in 40 minutes... more
