The perfect place to eat after a long day. Attractive surroundinds good food and attentive staff. Our halibut had been oversalted but it was no problem replacing it and the staff went out of their way to make up for the mistake. We were sorry we were unable to return to the restaurant during the rest of our stay. more

This is an excellent seafood restaurant, with Michelin-star quality of food, yet we paid only £12 each for a two-course lunch. Their house wine (red) is perfect, or try their whiskey beer. more

Been going to Skippers for a few years now and never disappoints. For anyone staying in central Edinburgh making the short journey to Leith is more than worth it for the fantastic food, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. more

Four of us had dinner on a Saturday night. There was a cozy ambience to the place. The service was excellent and the food was first-class. The menu changes daily and there is an extensive winelist. It was busy and this was a contrast to the newer establishments in Leith which were all virtually empty. more
