We stopped in here by chance for a quick dinner and were very impressed with the food, it was delicious!! The staff were attentive and friendly and the food very good value. We both had Surf & Turf which was a 6oz steak, cooked perfectly, served with a medley of king prawns, tons of mussels and squid with shallot sauce... more
this is a great little restaurant a great find in the grassmarket square. We had a excellent lunch here they do a 3 course menu for £11 and i cant recommend this enough the food was amazing and the service was too a real gem and cant wait to return again. more
meal allways first class staff A1 worth a visit can't wait to go back you won't be disappointed more
Having a personal chef and living in New York City, our bar was was high. I had the surf and turf. The seafood in mussel pots was exceptional the sirloin was perfectly prepared (although a touch salty). Service was fast, friendly, and professional. At this price point it was one of the best restaurants we have had in years. more
Amazing food and the most amazing staff - our waiter knew what I was thinking! Really enjoyable, and the hot sea food platter was lush! Can't speak highly enough more
Went there one evening and have to say that this was one of the best mealswe have had . The staff were great, the food amazing especially the mussels in Applewood smoked sauce. Thankyou for making our Edinburgh experience memorable.........Go and taste the food more
This was my second lunchtime visit to the Mussel and Steak Bar. I had raved to my family about the first all summer, so a return visit was well overdue. It did not disappoint. Both my sons, aged 21 and 10 were, as they would say, well impressed! The service was second to none, our waitress very attentive and cheerful.... more
I decided to try this restaurant based on it's proximity to my hotel and the reviews on Trip Advisor ......... I was not disappointed. The starter of Loch Fyne Queen Scallops was superb.
