Description: The first gastropub in the famed ���Home of Golf���, St. Andrews, The One Under is a superb combination of relaxed bar and high quality restaurant. Located just a stone���s throw from the links and the wave-battered craggy coastline, it���s the ideal place to warm oneself after a round of golf or a windswept walk. The One Under is chicly appointed in masculine tones of grey and brown, dark woods and tactile textiles with wing backed chairs for sinking in to and low slung sofas to snuggle upon, creating a real lazy Sunday afternoon atmosphere throughout the week. Passionate about delivering quality, The One Under stays true to the gastropub philosophy of simple food done well. The kitchen insists on the best possible produce, locally sourced from Scotland���s well-stocked natural larder and delivered fresh, ready to be cooked to order. Classic dishes with a European flavour make up the menu here at The One Under with both large a la carte style dishes and smaller snacks offering flexibility. The bar is stocked with a wide range of wines, beers and spirits and The One Under elects to show selected sporting events including major golfing tournaments on a big screen.

A nice atmosphere, lively on Valentines night with young people and families. Good quality pub food, served well with a reasonably priced wine list. A cheaper option to Rocca grill upstairs. More

Been here twice now and both times the food and service were great. Nice relaxed atmosphere, somewhere inbetween a bar and a restaurant. Will definitely be back next time I'm in St Andrews More

Our Association was here for our annual festive lunch and everyone was delighted with the food and the service.There was a wide and interesting choice of starters, main courses and deserts I had traditonal turkey which was absolutely delcious. Brussel sprouts were cooked perfectly and the cranberry sauce was the best I've ever tasted. However what I must compliment them... More

My wife and I stayed a few nights in the hotel above the One Under and we decided to give it a go on the first night after a long day of travelling, not expecting much but how wrong we were. Stayed at the hotel with friends at the end of October, we had dinner in the famous "one under pub" and was surprised to find such a hidden gem. The food was excelent and very good value for money. The atmosphere was great and the service outstanding. Highly recommend to friends and family. Will be visiting again soon. More

Ate here on Saturday 29th October as part of a group of eight golfers. Food was really good and reasonably priced with a good selection. Let down however by the service. We had to ask to order drinks twice and then chase them up. This was also the case with the deserts. Would go back but hope for better service More
