Visited Yen after reading Tripadvisor reviews and really enjoyed our meal. We ate upstairs and I had Chinese whilst my partner had Thai. Both meals were fantastic. The restaurant was busy but this did not compromise the great, friendly service, turned around with perfect timing as we were heading to a show at the SECC. Would highly recommend. May sound... more

Glasgow has a plethora of excellent restaurants some expensive and others more value for money. Taking all of this into consideration I would rate Yen as my favourite restaurant in Glasgow. The food is excellent quality, the person that likens it to cheap frozen food from a supermarket really must be ignored. I would recommend that anyone that is looking... more

Billy connoly was is session at the SECC so I would have expected local restaurants to be heaving after the show. This one wasn't, that was clue number one. My collegue and I were tempted for the £25 plus "banquet" on the ground floor. Don't get me wrong the food was superbly cooked, what there was of it. The starter... more

Came here whilst staying two mins walk away at the Crowne Plaza. Ate in the upstairs restaurant although the Tepanyaki downstairs looked a lot of fun. Choice of Japanese, Thai or Cantonese food - we had Japanese and the dishes were all well cooked and tasty. The staff were very polite and welcoming. The prices were a little higher than... more

I ate in the upstairs section which was almost empty on a thursday evening. The food here isn't cheap, and that's probably to pay for the decor and jazz based muzac. My hot and sour soup was average, and let down by containing only two prawns and by not being very spicy on the spicy scale of things. My main... more

Ive been to both the upstairs thai, cantonese and japanese restaurant and the AMAZING tepanyaki downstairs. Its a completely unique experience, I've never had meal like it. The chefs cook all the courses in front of you on a giant hot plate. They don't just cook the food to perfection they put on a fantastic show from juggling the utensils... more

After a concert at the SECC we decided to visit the YEN Restaurant. Although it was extremely busy we managed to get a table in the downstairs area. Service is great and attentive, and the show that the chefs put on was quite a change to the usual tepanyaki show that you get. I would go there again and if... more
