Incredible food, well prepared and the restaurant had a great ambience for the price. We arrived at 530 with a reservation. I found it amusing they asked if we had reserved as their was only one other couple in the restaurant. I had a cod dish that was amazing! My wife had chicken and it was all delicious the restaurant... More

We hadn't been to Cottier's in several years but had good memories, so decided to have dinner for old time's sake. We were not disappointed, the food was superb. We ate from the table d'hote menu and have no idea how they can produce such great food at such low prices. Not to be missed.

I was disappointed with the steak. At £19.95 the steak was very small and only came with a small serving of chips. It also took a long time for us to receive our food. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant is lovely and well lit and adorned with fairy lights. This is a great place... More

Just had a barbeque at this terrific converted church in the West End. Every Fri ,Sat and Sunday they offer this service and it was terrific . An excellent selection to choose from . From burgers to pork chops served with salad ,coleslaw bread and corn on the cob. Ideal way to eat on a weekend and the place was... More

Our 2nd visit to Cottiers and again did not disappoint. Food and service are both very good. Menu ofers a good variety of seasonal dishes, well presented and very tasty. Quality but affordable. Unusual setting in a converted church... not far from the bustle of Byres Road.

Tonight was the first night of my holidays. I had bought a 5pm voucher a few months ago and decided it was time for a treat. We both headed up to Cottiers restaurant and waited with great anticipation for our steak and wine night. What a let down. The steak (6 oz rib eye) was like a negative. It resembled... More

I used to pop in occasionally as the food is always consistently good and they have Furstenberg on draught, which has long been one of my favourites. I was in last night though and was taken aback by the range of their bottled beers, an extremely impressive selection featuring obscure beers from Germany, Belgian, Holland and more, most of which... Most expensive drinks in glasgow. Would be willing to pay the drinks prices if the staff weren't so rude and arrogant. From booking a table to being in the place we have never been made to feel welcome. Almost feel like the staff would prefer no customers to pay their wages. Have been several times as it is close to... More

We visited both the Bar area and the upstairs Restaurant. As we live around the corner it was an easy choice for a quick drink or a snack (bar area). But every time we came back the service deteriorated. Tables are not cleaned regularly so you'll end up taking the empties back yourself and asking for a cloth. The atmosphere... More

We had a pre theatre dinner here on Saturday night ..in the restaurant upstairs .... wonderful starter peanut and butternut squash which was delicious and good choice of main dishes. The sweets were divine sticky toffee pudding and the belgian chocolate .. we shared... were both excellent . Well worth the price and handy before the play a Midsummer Nights... More
